sorry, cope, I'm going to stick with christmas balls for now. I only posted that picture to rattle El Vez's chain - that'll teach me.

poppetster - you must come! and you too, shatterproof - why did I think you lived in north carolina? I was thinking that I could see Elvis 3 nights in a row, but I don't think the Old Man would go for it!

cosmos is an excellent substitute for me, spooks! a 40 minute drive compared to a 4 hour one - call me crazy, but I'm gonna have to go with the knoxangeles date.

yeah, my aunt dean.

willodean.

my mother's bestest friend, and more cherished than any blood relative.

and they all KNOW that.

when i was little she and mom and i would sit in a booth at the diner and she and mom would drink coffee (ewwww, i couldn't understand why one would want to drink coffee after noon) and i'd have coca-cola, or an RC if i was lucky (Royal Crown Cola), and the women would chatter about stuff i didn't understand and don't remember. but i didn't care, just to sit in their presence was amazing.

i really should call her.

Bamboozel...nah....I'm not really in the leather mood these days! I'm kinda down on my luck, and I'm taking my girlfriend with me, so I have to be sensible and not attract any attention for myself. My new low key image is a must in real life.

Anyone else planning on going to the Ryman in Nashville? Mrs S and I are waiting patiently for the pre-sales.

Wouldn't that be fantastic?

I am pleased to say that I was at the Royal Albert Hall in 1994 when Steve played Favourite Hour on their organ on all three nights.

According to the Ryman website, tickets for the Nashville show go on sale Saturday, January 15 at 10 am. The pre-sale site does not mention it yet.

The Ryman is busy that week ... Styx is there the night before (8 Mar) and George Jones is playing the following Saturday (12 Mar). I would be really pleased if Mr Jones played with the man.
