Elvis and The Imposters with Charlie Sexton return to the Belk Theater, in Charlotte NC on Wednesday, October 20, 2021.
Local coverage has yet to appear. The website of the promoter, Blumenthal Performing Arts previews the event thus:
"EVENT DESCRIPTION
PROOF OF FULL COVID VACCINATION OR NEGATIVE TEST REQUIRED
Elvis Costello & The Imposters will hit the road once more this October, after more than a year without concerts, in a show entitled "Hello Again."
Costello & The Imposters will perform songs from the pages of his formidable songbook. “Hello Again” will also see the first stage performances of songs from the future, as the band time-travel in all directions.
The Imposters are: Steve Nieve – piano and organ, drummer, Pete Thomas and bassist and vocalist Davey Faragher.
Additional information:
At the request of the Elvis Costello and The Imposters show, all staff, patrons, and performers are required to provide proof of vaccination or proof of valid, negative COVID test within 72 hours of the event date.
Guests are still required to wear masks indoors in all our venues except when consuming food or beverages in designated areas and agree to abide by the protocols in place at the time of a performance. BPA may refund the purchase price, refuse admission, or remove a guest from the venue for failure to follow any health and safety measures in effect at the time of the show. "

Incredible show in Charlotte tonight. Those looking for a "pure" EC and the Imposters concert, this is the tour for you! Tons of up-tempo numbers, several new songs and new arrangements of classics filled the evening. Elvis was in the best voice I've heard him in years. Amazing what a couple years off the road will do for the voice. Twenty-three songs in just over two hours. Charlie got to take some solos tonight including a proper solo during PLU, a guitar duel with EC during Hettie O'Hara Confidential and a few others including the intro to Alison.
I'll try to post a full set list tomorrow if somebody doesn't beat me to it; but for now, this old man is off to slumberland.
