Cheers John.

I also saw on C4 teletext that Elvis and Steve are at HMV Oxford Street on Tuesday 16th September at 12.30pm playing songs from and signing his new album North.

I'll post it on the main board just in case.

Miss BA - phew - I'll bet you're glad it's all over. When do you get your results? As far as "Will I ever again face being called upon to discuss the relationship of André Breton's Nadja to the Romantic conception of the woman? Or the medieval antecedents to Rabelaisian humor? Good God, I hope ...

White Knuckles - a straightforward tale of domestic violence. Not one of my particular faves but it has simple lyrics and not too much - if anything - for you to work out for yourself or misinterpret.

Try

Blue Chair

Perhaps this should be left to our man on the board himself...

Probably somewhere in Elvis' vaults. It'll show up on the 15th reissue (which we'll all still be buying!).

Personally it's a track I'm happy to skip. Even Elvis isn't keen on it. He said somewhere along the line that it sounded like it was being made up as he went along and probably was.

Maybe he won't actually do the appearance - like when he was meant to be on This Morning or one of those banal TV mo(u)rning shows.

I actually taped it whilst I was at work and wasn't sure if I was pleased or not when he wasn't on it.

Pills and Soap - a fascinating indictment of a troubled time. Thatcher's Britain was not the place to be. Bit like Blair's Britain really.

Fantastic. Will EC adapt Tramp The Dirt Down and reinclude the "live" lyrics he used to do such as "kicking the Royal cuckoos out of their nest"? Somehow I doubt it. He'll probably be all "Sarah" this and "Sarah" that! Expect some networking and a wedding at S...

EC on the Steve Wright Show.

This article is in the Mirror today:- "THE Duchess of York is branching out to become a DJ. Next week, she'll be co-hosting the Steve Wright show on Radio 2 from Tuesday to Thursday. As well as joining the usual banter with Wright, with whom she apparently gets on well, the Duchess will be intr...

My own personal "wash your ears out" mishearing moment was when I went to one of the Confederates shows at the Royal Albert Hall and EC did a solo spot. He decided to play a new song called (according to my ears anyway) "Any Cane Sugar". It took two years for Spike to come out be...
