The Delivery Man is Elvis' best album. Well, I would have said second best. Trust being the best, IB third, KOA fourth, and The Juliet Letters fifth. I bet you won't see that grouping anywhere else! I was a little surprised to see a few people rank The Delivery Man , the song, as their least favour...

Just to stray even further off topic, I've discovered "Il Sogno" was #1 on the US Billboard Contemporary Classical chart ... for 14 weeks! Also EC was wrong when he said he'd never had a #1 before North. Both Veronica and The Other Side of Summer were both #1 on the Billboard Modern Rock c...

Yes North was #1 on the Billboard Traditional Jazz Chart . That must be true! Its says so in my EC bio: http://www.elviscostello.info/biography.php If any EC classical release was to have charted it would have to be "The Juliet Letters" which actually made the regular UK Top 20! I can only...

No, the retail price is $31.95 Tim(e) but I've seen it for as low as $27.95 I find that EzyDVD are crap when it comes to music DVDs. You'll see that Sanity and HMV have it available online. And Red Eye too. Sanity and Red Eye are at lower end of the price spectrum. Looking at what is available on mu...

Having seen one of these shows recently, here is my advice. Il Sogno itself runs for about 50 minutes, and it really isn't that hard to sit through! Yes the second half of the show is still with the orchestra. Steve Nieve on piano, of course. They'll probably do about 10 to 12 songs. Almost Blue, Wa...

Warners sneaked 'The Right Spectacle' DVD out here (Australia) on January 30, apparently judging that a stealth approach would be the most effective in generating sales. This would be in line with the whole "let's release it about 3 months after the reviews appeared in the papers" line of ...

The "PoP" thing is an invention of some of the costello-l listers (I guess they got tired of typing "The Pope of Pop"). I encourage them to use "Popey" but not all of them do. I was just overcome with a sudden urge to come here (haven't been here for ages) and what do y...

Just love this misprint - He is also working on 'Oil Sogno' Midnight Oil Sogno, anyone? That's where Elvis shaves his head to the accompaniment of catchy classical riffs. $154? For general admission? Oy. Though I could probably sneak my kids in for free as they are only just 12. For that money I wi...

Don't worry - EC will love it

I've been involved in EC tributes before, and I know from experience that Elvis loves them, especially if they involve real fans. I handed him just such a CD back in 1999 and his face lit up when he realised what it was.

(There, how's that for a first post!)
