I'm not to big on Tim Finn either. I much enjoy Neil's work with Crowded House and his solo work. "Woodface" is a classic..absolutely great from beginning to end. So sad we will not be able to see a reunion.

I was at the show. Elvis sounded great, but I really, really, wanted to see the rockin Elvis. I felt teased when Emmylou came out for all those songs and even closed the show with Elvis. It was great to be introduced to her music but I can't say I'll be buying any of her music someday soon. We witne...

I recieved a notice for the presale as well. I got online at exactly the same time tickets went on sale and managed to only get only row S (that's 19 rows back!) I'm very disappointed about that but I took the tickets anyway for fear that when the general admission tickets went on sale, I'd be stuck...

In another post, I mentioned that I recently saw this performance again as well. Definitely natural. But I could not get over the "fishin hat." As I was half asleep, I did a double take before I realized it was him.

Elvis, from 1991 or so, on a Saturday Night Live rerun last night. I was half asleep in bed when my daughter came in and woke me up for something. The tv was still on. I looked up and said to myself, who the hell is the guy in the gray suit and fishing hat? It took a few seconds to realize it was lo...

I am going to try and find the They Might Be Giants CD and/or DVD tomorrow. I saw one of the videos on Nick at Night and it was pretty cool. Thanks for the suggestion! I have a cool CD called "Toon Tunes". It is a compilation of cartoon theme songs all the way from Popeye to Rugrats. Remem...

Blue, Did you get to meet Glenn at all or get an autograph? He is usually very gracious after his shows. I saw him Friday in NY and had a fantastic time. I was lucky enough to hang with him before the show and talk about some stuff. I also got the biggest hug ever and an autograph on my Difford and ...

I read on Chris DIfford's website that a book will be out later this year. Apparently, it is about the music of Chris and Glenn. Very cool! Sure hope Glenn comes back to the states later this year.

I saw him several years ago in Connecticut. I thought it was quite a lame show and we even ended up leaving early. Maybe I would have enjoyed it more if I was a bigger fan of his music, though.

Squeeze actually sparked my interest in Elvis Costello. It was East Side Story. I had heard of Elvis but wasn't familiar with his music. It has been nothin but love since!

The first one that comes to mind is:

The Monkees--Headquarters

Listened to it on vinyl as a child and then on cd while rocking my little girl to sleep at night. Still enjoy it from start to finish!

I taped it and will watch it when I get home from work. I watched a bit this morning and saw that he played throughout the show; very cool! FYI, Glenn's new solo cd is out. It's called "Transatlantic Ping Pong" It will be available in the states in August, but you can get it at his website.

I was introduced to Francis Dunnery when I got Chris Diofford's recent solo CD, as Francis Dunnery produced it. I have heard a few of his song samples but have yet to purchase anything. I like what I heard though.

Picked up Alicia Keys- The Diary of Alicia Keys Can't believe how good this is! I'm not much of a hip-hop listener, but you don't have to be to appreciate this cd. The piano playing is amazing. It just brings in a whole new element to the music. Air- Talkie Walkie Still trying to figure out what all...

Best live tune was "Man Out of Time" -Philadelphia, late 1980's

There's several songs from All This Useless Beauty that would be cool to see live. I love to listen to that cd whenever I'm on a road trip.

Oh how I love when you all talk about Squeeze, I miss them so! I haven't posted in a verrrry long time but just wanted to add one thing. I picked up Chris Difford's solo cd (30bucks in USA). Not knowing what to expect, I thought it was surprisingly very well crafted and not to mention it seems to be...
