I wouldn't care if I never met him, let alone feel like I have to ask him anything. Frankly, I think it's nerd behaviour.

Well, I'm better off buying the reissues from the US, if amazon is offering them at around US$15 (last year I bought some at 13 and 14). UK L 11 works out at around US$17.50.

Thanks to those who looked up that phrase, and to Noise. I put it into google with JC and it came up often as well, such as here: http://sageplace.com/Amb_Auth.htm So, regardless, I'm to understand that JC was essentially different , then...? I was interested to see if anyone thought it could be rec...

JM, they were lame, though. And he's highly strung.

It's possible that, given his low profile/talent ratio, he's trying to leave a legacy of, or be remembered like: "Oh, he was so talented, but if only they'd promoted him more he would have been HUGE".

He probably was Otis; all I knew was that it was the last song he ever heard. And, you may know this but, New York was in fact written before 9/11. Poignant all the same. Love that big sound. Agree with you about Beautiful Day, it kind of went without saying that it's great. "Re-e-e-e-eeach me....

Je-heseus Chri-hist! Warning: Jesus subject matter ahead, proceed with caution. Didn't Jesus apparently once say (maybe not exactly word for word): "Think it not robbery to be equal with God" "These things that I've done and greater things you can do too" "As you think, so s...

I thought it was funny when people including myself started to call on descartes for his special kind of reliability when it seemed appropriate, "where's descartes?", when suddenly he announced that he was tiring of it and wanted to begin discussing Elvis at last. It was clear who wa...

I'm really looking forward to the new album as well. It might sound petty to some, but I've never before heard of an album where the title track was only available on the internet! That and the fact that one of the songs is only on the Japanese release paves the way for a reissue in 6 months time w...

No, I wouldn't do it either. It's weird. I also thought that it may have been a secret between Bob and the writer, maybe even just implicitly, to generate more publicity this way than if he had simply credited the source in small print on his CD.

No no, I mean that I'm now committed to writing another poem  . Soon. I don't think committment can ever be really be promised absolutely or forever, because you just don't know. And it's a dumb idea, because it invites that you be taken for granted. It's false 'romance' - it's better not to st...

Otis, I had been thinking to ask what you liked most from ATYCLB... When I Look At The World and New York stand out to me. I saw Bono on tv recount the story of Joey and In A Little While... it was actually the very last song he heard before he died.

Did Dylan Do Wrong?

In this case the guy happened to be happy that Dylan stole some lines from his book, but what if it was you and you hadn't been? On the other hand, did he really steal anything too creative? He didn't copy a STORY or anything, just somes lines... THEY AIN'T HIS, BABE http://story.news.yahoo.com/news...

MM, I didn't think it came across sleazy or anything, though. The guy is honest, if very direct. It's not an uncommon reaction to overly-demanding women. And Rope, I think all the answers to those questions are in my poem. I've made a couple of improvements on it. (I'll save people the trouble of go...

PoP, I noticed that it was doctored too. He looks superimposed. His shoes and pants look airbrushed, so does the blur of his coat tails. The bright light on his forehead would suggest that he'd cast a shadow on the road. Why would they go through so much trouble, unless... yes, I think it's the albu...

Laps, the images really enhance the poems (not to take away from them).

Here's one:

You make me hungry for success
then I could chase another dress
it's not that I would dare
or that I'm out to use you
just that I'd be square I confess
to think that beauty is so rare
and not peruse the menu
