I love SFU. That, and the Sopranos, are the only reason I pay for HBO. When are Brenda and Nate going to get back together? Any bets on whether it will be this season?

I saw Elvis on the train this morning

Well, not in person. There was a poster on my commuter train for the Lincoln Center Festival, and it had a nice picture of Elvis on it.

So it took a while to rip 'em, but the computer copies them onto the iPod at a rate of about a track a second. So when you initially put the stuff on your iPod it can take 10-15 minutes, but after that if you're just updating to put a new album on it'll take about 10 seconds. DrJ I probably don't n...

I have a 20GB Creative Nomad Zen that's about 1 1/2 years old. I still use it a lot, because my commute is usually the only time I have to listen to music. It may not be as pretty, or as small, or as cool as the new iPod, but it sounds great, is easy to carry in my briefcase, and cost a lot less tha...

I will buy this, even though I finally broke down and bought the CD last year. I still have my original vinyl copy somewhere.

The sad thing is, one of my favorite records from my teenage years is now 25 YEARS OLD!

I saw a trailer on the film last weekend when I went to the movies. It looks REALLY good, at least from the trailer. We saw about half a dozen trailers and it was the only movie that my wife and I both agreed that we wanted to see. Elvis was featured, leading a big band, and the trailer said the mov...

If I were to have a signature, it would be following. It was on a bumper sticker on a car driven by one of the characters in the movie "Saved":

JESUS LOVES YOU.
Everyone else thinks you're an asshole.

Actually, there seem to be excellent tickets still available from Lincoln Center directly. I just went on their site and pulled up Orchestra Row D. For the Impostors show I first bought tickets through Concertmaps. I then got better seats directly from Lincoln Center, so Concertmaps does not necessa...

We should have a competition for the longest post in the Annex :D I agree with about 90% of what Mr. Gore says in his well-written and persuasive essay. The parts that bother me have to do with his discussion of Kerry. Gore says: "In my opinion, John Kerry is dealing with this unfolding tragedy...

OK...to hopefully avoid coming off like a complete jerk, I'm going to be very honest and upfront. This is my 1st post here. I am a fan of EC, I think he's amazing. I am the lead singer and bassist in Ruth Ruth, a NYC band. We've had a couple of major label CDs out, and just released our 1st indie. ...

They are better than Summer Olympics, but separating them out by 2 years was a cheap marketing ploy that would have the ancient Greeks turning in their graves if they had thought up winter olympics in the first place.
