MY AIM IS TRUE- A classic and you can spot it from a mile- the pigeon-toed stance and "Elvis is King" checkered backdrop-instant history! GET HAPPY!! - Bright orange and blue, '60s party album design, and the "pre-worn" label ring on the cover to represent the record's aging thro...

I'd sure love to own that poster. That's the earliest American concert poster of EC that I've seen. Talk about his name being an enigma. That show is 5 days BEFORE the "Saturday Night Live" debut!!

Pophead2K is correct. "Flying" is the answer I was looking for. However, Dr. J brings up a good point- the age of reissues and bonus tracks makes these things tougher to come up with for us old recordheads!

Pophead2k, you're up!

Nice transcription, Otis. That was my favorite of the new songs on the '99 tour. He always introduced "I Dreamed of My Old Lover Last Night" as part of the Delivery Man project. Of course, that was nearly six years ago, so who knows how many changes may have occurred? It seems there were o...

Hey, Otis. If you get a chance, also check out SOMETHING ELSE BY THE KINKS. It's one of their finest albums, and is the original source for "Waterloo Sunset." I also love the three that Dr. J recommended. There's good stuff from every period. One of my favorite overlooked '70s albums is th...

Hi, Plaything! Hugs and kisses back at ya, sweetie. I've been adjusting my life to not being a music store manager for the first time in 20 years. As some of you know, the chain I worked for, The Music Network, went bankrupt in August. It's been a struggle since, but I'm starting to feel ground unde...

Of course, there is an out-of-print LP entitled ROSS McMANUS SINGS THE HITS OF ELVIS PRESLEY. I have this on vinyl, and El's dad sounds a lot like Presley. Definitely one of the more obscure Costello-related collectibles. Ross even looks like EC on the cover (wearing black horn-rims). It was recorde...

I think NORTH has some great songs. To their detriment, they sound like one 40-minute track due to the structure and arrangements. I have discovered that what I love the most about EC albums is what Elvis tries to avoid- mixing it up! Think about TRUST, IMPERIAL BEDROOM, KING OF AMERICA, SPIKE- thes...
