Re: This Year's Model Survivor (Round 6)

So far, as much as I can detect, the complaints in these eliminations have all come (with one very honourable exception BA) from UK and Europeans - does this mean anything??!! I'd also like to point out that this is my 2000th post which makes me :- 1/7 as knowledgeable as John Foyle Nearly half as ...

Re: My Aim Is True Survivor (Round 8)

I'm afraid I'm with Neil on this one, my second Elvis purchase after "This Year's Model" and it felt so tame after the 1978 musical pyrotechnics. I'm also convinced that an early purchase of a bootleg El Mocambo also coloured my opinion of MAIT because every song from that album was blown...

The KBFH tape runs as per the wiki setlist except that I Can't Stand Up, The Beat and He'll Have To Go were never broadcast and are apparently unavailable anywhere. the BBC broadcast included Chelsea, Mystery Dance and PLU in their version but no-one seems to have the original recording except for ...

Re: Elvis & Attractions, Hope and Anchor 1980

Just to say the 40 year retrospective ground to a sorry halt last night when the combined recording of the KBFH and BBC broadcasts were ( rightly so, I guess) banned from being torrented. Seems a real shame this couldn't have been released as a complete concert a la Holywood High reissue in Elvis' ...
