Re: Tom Waits
Eeeeeeee is right. But goddamnit, I feel guilty about going to shows where I don't know enough of that artists work. But by summer, maybe. I'll have to beg my parents, but this notice gives me a lot of time to wear them down....graduation gift, maybe. (I'm not allowed to hold a job during the school...

Re: Random Thoughts
I see crocuses in the front yard. :D Finding out who my real friends are hasn't been as unpleasant as I thought. Quite exhilirating, in fact, being free from people I didn't like that much anyway. Moody, I know how you feel. It's been overcast for what feels like forever here as well, it feels like....

John Welsey Harding, Awake. Damn good, surprised me in a good way. But right now, right this minute, Rufus Wainwright's Want One. Also damn good.

Re: Random Thoughts
Yeah of course the film, although I wasn't the biggest fan of the poem either. Even then, I was indignant at how much they butchered it. Why did they take a thousands year old poem and go 'I can improve on this!' It was really funny, though.

I thought it disappointing that there wasn't a partial contents listing. I didn't expect a whole one, obviously, but I wuld have liked to know some of the rarer/more impresssive bits.

Re: Evis Costello and the Imposters "Dream Ticket"
I picked Tom Waits. He's the one I know best out of all of them, and, well, I have a lot of love for him. A girl can always dream.....although I'd be the youngest one at that show. I'd also like to see him perfrom with Rufus Wainwright, incidentally. That'd be a great great show, I think. Their styl...

Re: Recent CD Purchases
Tom Waits, Rain Dogs. Thanks, Blue. I've listened to only the first bit, but it seems mightily impressive. I'll have listened to it all by tomorrow. Last of the Xmas stuff, Best Buy gift card.

Ahead of the curve. The Grammys are about as relevent as a Wham! 'Choose Life' shirt. Those shirts will never go out of style, you hear me!? *runs off crying* Actually, I've seen people wearing shirts with the big ol' lettering lately. Idiots, yes, but it looks like those shirts might be making a c...

Re: What are you listening to right now?
Tom Waits. The Heart of Saturday Night and Real Gone . It's an interesting study in the changes. It's almost like two different artists. But yes. Waitsy mood lately. Which do you prefer? I've always felt he's got more interesting with time, but found Real Gone real hard to enjoy. Some of it's great...

Yes, yes that's it. He mentioned a Lead Belly tune at some point, I couldn't remember if that was it, though. Good detective work, there.

Re: New Gig Thread
Dr. John show last night with Micelle Shocked opening. She wasn't bad. The main show was pretty awesome. He's not so incredibly theatrical like he was in years past, but he put on a good show. Off the top of my head he played Mos' Scoious (know I spelled that wrong), Mama Roux, Tipitina, I Walk on G...
