I was very glad to see Safe and Flirting With Disaster, two of my fave 90's films, on the list along with extremely well done, critically underappreciated commercial stuff like The Ref and Sneakers. I was a little suprised that Citizen Ruth, Alexander Payne's first major film, did not make the list....

Bring the Family. Boy was John Hiatt on top of his game then. Have you heard Master of Disaster yet? I also really, really like his Austin City Limits disc. Absolutely stunning version of "Straight Outta Time" on that one. i do not have the austin city limits thing yet, but i must get it....

He was one of the all time greats. I highly recommend the documentary Only The Strong Survives which was completely stolen by a livewire Pickett who couldn't help but come off like the coolest man on the planet.
