Get BY. This was the first EC album I ever bought and I can understand how it may have thrown you off a little bit, it did the same to me. I kept thinking is this the same elvis who did "radio radio" on snl? Since this was my introduction to EC i had no idea how ecletic his releases have b...

Help me Mix my EC mix tape

A month ago i was in a minor car accident and it was not until today that i was able to drop my car off at the body shop and pick up a rental car for the next seven days. Since it only has a cassette player and listening to clear channel's radion stations all across the dial has already become tires...

I love This Year's Model. Everytime i take a road trip it is the first album played. It's so fast and mean I can belt out everysong (bad, alone in the car singing) along with EC in my stereo. it is probably the second EC album i bought that i could not stop listening to it, after Brutal Youth. Also ...

first of all, I can't stand Plaboy to a Man, most of GCW. I like the demo versions of PTC better than the album. Chewing Gum and Pads,Paws and Claws are forgetable in Spike. I never really liked Moods for Moderns. Now I can't believe nobody has yet come out in defense of The Juliet Letters, that alb...

All right i didn't include it because i thought it sounded too much like the original version, although i do think EC's vocal was much better in that alternate take. the two other versions are so different, On the Almost Blue Bonus Disc the song becomes a great country ballad while on the GCW Bonus ...

i just got the tim robbins film BOB ROBERTS and it was amaxing and eerie at the same time. Robbins does a fine job in playing a right-wing radical version of Bob Dylan (His albums are titled Times are changing back and Bob on Bob) who runs for senator of pennsylvania against a the incumbent played b...

Elvis is always first
Dylan will follow
I'm starting a mild case of obsession with Pavement, not full blown yet but i can definately see it coming.
I have all the Radiohead Albums but I don't think i'm obsessed with them.

Charlie Kaufman is my film obssesion.

The songs that immediately come to mind as my favorites:

Don't think twice it's all right
To make you feel my love
It ain't me babe
Like a Rolling Stone
Tom Thumb Blues

but if i go back and look through all my dylan albums, i'm sure i'll reconsider

No Miss Buenos Aires, I'm pretty sure liam Neeson gives his wife's eulogy and then follows it with "Bye Bye Baby" his son ends up playing the drums so that he could impress a girl which apparently is more important in the film than the loss of his own mother. [/quote]

I finally saw the aviator last night, seeing Scorcese lose at the oscars made me truly eager to see it. I'm a huge fan of Scorcese and but i can't help but feel that the oscar was right in going to somebody else this year. the only movie nominated for best director and best picture that i've seen so...

Countdown to Elvis LIVE!!!!

Monday, Feb 28 I guess I should have started the countdown yesterday, make it a full seven days before i get to see my first elvis costello concert. I spent sunday grudginly working, serving overpriced mexican food to folks after church. All i could think about was how next sunday i will be coming d...

i know but it was good drama it made me realized that almost every story i've seen or read about unfounded unfaithfullnes is modeled after that. I just finished Who's Who In Hell . I approached this book with incredible dread, thinking it would be all literary and dull. That might be true for the first fifty pages, but I'm re-reading them just in case. This book surprised me. I can't remember when I've been so emotionally engaged in a book....

ossie davis will be definately missed. I just got the criterion collection edition of Spike Lee's Do The Right Thing where he playes The Mayor, which is a kind of sage in tattered clothing, alongside to Ruby Dee's Mother Sister. he was great, so cool, so real, he could never be anything but great.
