In my book, the middle of Mighty Like A Rose's second side is Elvis at his most skippable but apart from that I love them carnally!

I thought the Buffalo Springfield box was shite. (The first two albums in both stereo and mono with lots of very unfinished demos thrown in - mostly Neil solo and sleepy - but then there's a few fine tracks off Last Time Around that are not included 'cause he feels they weren't representative of the...

Sadly, it seems that Universal hasn't aquired the Warner albums (Spike, MLAR, TJL, BY, KV and ATUB). Right, so there WILL be the anniversary of MAIT but probably with the reissue and another incomplete compilation. Damn. I hope the new reissues will be classy reproductions of the originals with no ...

Thanks for the above link. Never heard about this before. Remarkable album. On first listen, this could very well turn out to be my favourite Elvis side project. Sounds like something Tom Waits would have listened to a lot too.

I dunno about that for the ages thing, but I'd rather listen to When I Was Cruel than This Years Model, the River in Reverse band sure beats the one on My Aim Is True, and there are plenty more duff tracks on Armed Forces than on All This Useless Beauty. Brutal Youth gets my blood pumping more than ...

A lot of time at home = lots of new songs? If he records around/near the house, he could easily make three records with different styles/players next year and realease/tour for them in 2008. Would be nice with an intimate one, a poppy Imposters one (hopefully including Burnt Sugar and Suspect My Tea...

It's huge, isn't it? Very funny though. He got a lot of EC's mannerisms down pat, including that slack-jawed, open-mouth look. Good stuff. I love him staggering around on a tennis court in the middle of winter - no less ridiculous than some of the antics on EC's early videos. Really good running up...

Music and films in Denmark are always rated 1-6 stars. I think it's the same in Sweden and Norway. In Sweden they often use a dice
How true! You'd think Luke Rhinehart was a Swedish reviewer.

Just a thought about his UK status: I asked for the CD at HMV Heathrow on June 22nd, hoping for a tax free bargain. Since it was quite new I started looking on the top 40 shelf but no luck there. New releases? Nope. "Must be in the EC section" I thought, but there wasn't even one of those....
