Can I tell you how great The Raspberries were in NYC this past weekend? Easily, one of the best rock and roll shows I have ever seen. I can't believe how great they sounded, vocals and music. They played an awesome set of Raspberries songs and also included "Ticket to Ride" and a blazing r...

Very sad as I missed Squeeze (took my daughter to her first concert-Drake Bell-so cute!) Anyway, I feel redeemed as I just got tickets to see the Raspberries in NYC next month. I have always wanted to see Eric Carmen- one of my very favorite singers/songwriters. For anyone interested, the Raspberrie...

I'd like to offer: Jellyfish-"Bellybutton" Catchy tunes, kind of has I guess what you would call a 70's vibe to it. Too bad they only put out 2 records. Put on a great live show as well. Also: Frente- "Marvin the album" Got this in my music buying heyday. Australian female lead s...

The stars and planets must have been in alignment! I knew it would happen someday. Hope it goes well and they decide to tour the states as well. Who of our UK friends will be going to a show?

[quote]Damn, I missed it. We couldn't arrange babysitting. They do have terrific food there. It's well worth arriving early for dinner.

Sorry you couldn't make it WSS. Would have been great to meet you.

I just returned from seeing Chris Difford last night in Pawling, NY. What a beautiful night, as we saw the lunar eclipse on our way to the venue. The Towne Crier has great food, and we enjoyed our dinners and drinks with anticipation, as Chris has not been in the states for many years. It was fantas...

To any fellow EC/Squeeze fans, Chris Difford will be in the U.S. for the next few months. Check out his website for dates if you like. I'm going to try and make the March 3 show at the Towne Crier in NY. I've never been there so if anyone has any comments about the venue, it would be appreciated. Lo...

Blue,

I don't think he strayed too far from his musical style, so from that
standpoint, it's all pretty good. It took a while to grow on me though, now I enjoy it much more. It's sprinkled with some great tunes. Wish I saw him live but couldn't make the time.

World Party recently re-released "Dumbing Up" with new tracks and a DVD enclosed. It was released with little publicity a few years ago, but Karl Wallinger suffered an aneurysm shortly after it's release. Thankfully, he's recovered and is just finishing up a tour to support the re-release....

I think this is the best new sitcom since Seinfeld. I haven't made it a point to watch anything on Thursday nights since The Office came on. Steve Carell is hysterical! I'm really into Rainn Wilson's "Dwight." He is absolutely brilliant playing that character! By the way, I grew up in the ...

Sorry VG, I don't really post much but I'm always here! No EC songs were done at the show. It was a solo show. He did a mix of solo, Squeeze, and some other covers. I stood right in front as I always try my best to do. What an amazing guitar player he is. The crowd loved it as well. I have several p...

I went to the show last night in New Haven. Never expected a sold out show but the venue was very small. The nice bouncer was able to get us in anyway, as there were a couple of no-shows. Great show as always. Very crowded but still had a great time. Unable to reach the bar to the crowd, which I gue...

I'll take Ween. I have been listening to them for years. For all the good tunes, there is a lot of junk mixed into their cd's. I would say "White Pepper" would be the best place to start.
