I also find shaven heads extremely attractive, especially on black men. (sorry cope) The man of the house, who has a lush head of hair, cannot understand my viewpoint on this. Black, white, or in-between, bald is infinitely better than "2-foot strands sculpted over a vast area". What an im...

Sweet Dreams!

Oh dear. I have tickets for Monday's show (crap seats, but what the hell--I've never mastered the art of getting good seats for concerts--what gives?), and I would LOVE to hear Sweet Dreams.

No proper set list yet, but the articles have me looking forward to Monday!

I love Spiderman from the Ramones. It is more mellow than the urgent theme song but never thought of it as a lullaby! : We never did either, but it had a definite soporofic effect on a baby who screamed 18 hours a day. The Ramones and Spiderman were our hereos. Nearly 8 years later, it still works ...

I know that song!

In the same vein, the Ramones' cover of 'Spider-man' is lots of fun. When my daughter was a baby, it would put her to sleep!

I've never had an Elvis dream, that I can remember, anyway, but I think I'm gonna have NIGHTMARES now!

Can't stop laughing!

I think you all look lovely, and I don't know why, almost as I pictured you all. All except Otis, who I expected to look more like his old avatar. I bet he's got army boots on under the table and his bowler's out of the frame.

Boy With A Problem--you've got exceptionally nice teeth!

Boy With a Problem, I also had "Smokin' in The Boys' Room"! It was a freebie that came with a kids' record player that I was given for Christmas or a birthday. I don't know how that escaped my mom's radar. She would NEVER had let me have it had she heard it. It also came with a copy of &qu...

After a very quick read, here's one I like a lot, from 'Can You Be True?': 'Only time will tell us I hope that it speaks gently if it isn't meant to be Then again By then we might not be listening so attentively' Also, from the same song: 'I long to hear you whisper my name' I cannot describe what t...

SweetPear: I think our moms must have been separated at birth! At least the word your mom broke your record over was actually in the song... I'm still cracking up. Thanks for the best laugh I've had today!

I'm trying not to get too excited, so as to avoid disappointment.

But I am getting very excited about this. I have such a huge thing for torch songs and singers.

SoLikeCandy--I have the very same Elvis fantasy.

No, wait, the first single I bought with my own money was Bowie's 'Space Oddity'.

But my mom really did bust my 'Benny and The Jets'.

album: 'American Graffiti' soundtrack, when I was 10. 45: Elton John 'Benny and The Jets', I think. My mom commenced a first-class rant when she thought the line was "She's got electric boobs" , started yelling about the dissolution of civilized society, and that a 10-year-old could get ho...

Actually, I think it was I who inadvertently started the grossness, responding to Ms. BA's story about having to wait to pee.

So many great movies and many that I had forgotten about.

Selfmademug: I also love The Princess Bride. The man of the house and I can have whole conversations based entirely on quotes from it.

I'll also add A Christmas Story to my list, since it had only 9. :)

The best pee I ever had was in 1987, in San Francisco, during the 50th anniversary celebration of the opening of the Golden Gate Bridge. The bridge was closed to traffic very early one Sunday morning so pedestrians could walk out onto it. We came armed with a picnic breakfast which included several ...
